About Seduced
title : Pierce Me (The First Embrace)
format : installation
media : performance, video, photography
references : fetish, fairy tale, ritual, dance, love
arouse | penetrate | linger
I am primarily preoccupied with the voyeuristic tension often present in seduction. The forbidden fruit. I want to create mesmerising imagery that would arouse, penetrate and linger in the viewer’s head, and perhaps just beneath their skin, more tingly in certain places.
Love is what drives me to express myself. I am fascinated by ritualistic intimacy. In the days of virgins, the fantasy of the wedding ritual - the first courtship - poeticises itself in my head. The violence of sex twirls like an underwater waltz, seduction played out like slow-motion fireworks.
I want to expose this sacred intimacy between lovers, the privacy of which should never be violated. But it is here, before your eyes. You shouldn’t look, but you do. And you feel guilty, touched… and touched.
Pierce Me is part of a long-term project dedicated to my lover, a cocktail of performance, writing (in the form of the soundrack), photography and video. My ambition is that one day I shall have an exhibition in which every piece of work is dedicated to him. My way to express my love and gratitude for my muse. This is my attempt to confide in you, the focus of my gaze.

About The Artist
I devote my practice to the search of the poetic image. The poetic image is an essence that arises out of our temporal experience - the moment between moments is eternity.
My approach to making art varies with each project. Idea driven, using whatever medium appropriate. One element remains constant: it is always related to time. I try to weave narrative out of tempo, the pace at which an event unfolds.
I want my viewer to not so much think but to feel. I strive to create sensual, mesmerising imagery that arouses, penetrates, and lingers.
