Artist Title: Mary Hadhad
Work Title: ‘Sin Scéal Eile’
‘Sin Scéal Eile’ translates to mean ‘That’s Another Story’ and continues Mary Hadhad’s Angel series in confronting questions of truth and belief both formally and symbolically.
'Sin Scéal Eile’ is a four part 2D/3D work constructed from Pallets, Human Hair, Earth, PVA, Photographs, Wire Mesh and household paint.
The work will be shown in The Window Gallery, Charring Cross Road as part of The Window Gallery's Seduced Show. Opening Friday 24 January - for one week only.
Viewing: Free.
Underground: Tottenham Court Road & Leister Square.

Seduced: Art & Sex from Antiquity to Now, co-curated by Central Saint Martins' Professor Marina Wallace, is at Barbican Art Gallery until 27 January.

you were nothing like how I had imagined you
yet
exactly as I had dreamt of you
you were beyond
my imagination
the most beautiful features
in my memories and fantasies
put together
could not draw your face
those eyes
like two globes of ocean lights that
instantly illuminated my world
the moment you
entered my vision
entered my life
this fatality
I felt as though my life was to end
willingly drown my soul as
I plunged into the depth
towards the single gleaming pearl at the bottom
your heart
I offered up mine so that
my blood might nourish your heart
more plump and red
in my annihilation
perhaps
you would shed a tear
out of your tear
I should rise to life again
cleansed as a morning dew
as fragile
only then might I love you
only then might I withstand
the heat of your gaze
